Hi all,

We have a hard working and busy week in 4K.

In Literacy we looked at different types of non-fiction texts and decided what they were for and how they are different.

In maths we have begun working on rounding. The children have been set homework to round numbers to the nearest 10.

In Music we enjoyed learning the song Mama Mia. We will learn to sing and play this song on instruments over the term.

The children enjoyed their first swimming session although   We just assessed them and put them into groups this week. They also had fun doing a range of PE activities.

You should receive all the homework today including Maths, a times tables to learn and Learning Log homework. Also thank you for all the returned letters and slips. We are looking forward to our first trip of the Year to the Ledson Estate where we will learn about tree identification and complete a range of activities in the woods.

Have a good weekend,

Mrs Kroon

Arthur has enjoyed school this week and told us all about the swimming, sang Mamma Mia and explained how to make an electric circuit using a cell and some crocodile clips. We’ve been identifying roman numerals and practicing rounding. It was great to visit his classroom and meet the teacher. Year 4 is looking like a lot of fun.
