Another excellent week comes to an end and yep, it’s been a productive one.

In Literacy, we have continued our topic on ‘Issues and Dilemmas’, using the ‘One Man Band’ again alongside other texts, including ‘Living on Ice’ by Pie Corbett. We have focused on fronted adverbial phrases in grammar, using the ‘Wheel of unusual abverbs’ to help us uplevel some classic nursary rhymes. Ironically, we found that ‘Effortlessly’ is rather a tricky fronted adverbial to say! We have also been practising the spellings of ‘gu’  and ‘ture’ words.

In Numeracy, we have moved on to finding areas of shape, using multiplication to help us.

In Science, we have been learning about the process of digestion, making sure we use the correct scientific names for the organs involved in the process.

Both Learning Log and Maths homework were given out yesterday. Remember that Maths is due in by next Wednesday and Learning Log by the following Wednesday.

A huge well done in Extreme Learning this week 4C! We scored a KS2 second place percentage of 96%, a personal class record! Keep it up and let’s go for 1st place next week. Also, congratulations to Max H and Jacob P for their well deserved ‘Be the best you can be’ Special Mention awards.

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you next week.

Mr Garlick
