Super Trooper Science

4K looked suitably fantastic and enjoyed a music filled Rockstar Friday. Thanks to all who helped create the outfits, hair and makeup.

In Science this half term we are exploring sound. We worked in rockstar bands to create short sound pieces using key vocabulary to guide the composition. The bands worked well together, sharing ideas and listening carefully – we had no band split-ups or anyone pursuing a solo career!

The children particularly enjoyed the decrescendo and crescendo patterns. Good use was made of the African drums, boomwhackers, glockenspiels and untuned percussion.

Studying  vintage footage of Abba helped us perfect our performance of Mamamia; we all  had great fun busking.

Thanks for your support and enjoy the photos below.

Hannah really enjoyed Friday’s activities. We’ve been listening and singing along to a lot of ABBA over the weekend.
