Hello all.

Another extremely busy week for 4C.

In Literacy, we finished our explanations of the shirt machine. The children enjoyed editing and improving their work using editing stations. We also started our performance poetry topic. The children discussed what would make a good performance and performed the poem “The school kid rap” (videos to follow next week).

In Maths, we have looked at negative numbers and the children enjoyed challenging each other with our negative numbers board game. We have also been using super movers in our Maths lessons and the children have loved using Cyril the Swan to practise their four times table!

In Science, we have continued our work with electricity and looked at using switches in circuits this week. The children had the opportunity to explore and enquire whilst making a working circuit using a range of switches.

We have started making our electronic board games in DT. Thank you again to all those who brought shoe boxes in. I was very impressed with the great ideas the children had and I look forward to seeing the games progress.

Please can we continue to have a push on Extreme Learning. Unfortunately, our percentage dropped this week. Reading, Mathletics and Times Tables Rockstars are great ways to complete the Extreme Learning.

Special Mentions go to Khushi and Aaminah. Well done girls!

Have a good weekend.

Miss Chambers
