4K this week
Thursday 6th December |
We have had fun learning about newspapers this week in 4K. The children were fascinated when they learned that newspaper reports can contain fact and opinion and that they do not always tell the entire truth. We have been learning how to decifer which bits are fact and which bits are someone’s opinion, an important life skill in this day and age.
In maths we have enjoyed finding the perimeter of rectangles and rectilinear shapes. We have worked on the mental maths skills of doubling and adding lots of numbers. We continue to work on the 8 times table.
Next week will be our last time swimming this term. Please ensure your child has their swimming kit on Wednesdays next term. Next week will be a fun swim. If any children have earned a badge, please send £1.50 in a named envelope and we will collect it this Wednesday.
Next week promises to be a busy week with plenty of rehearsals for the school play.
We are also still collecting items to help make our musical instruments. Thankyou to everyone who has already brought stuff in. We still need planks of wood, plastic pipes and strong cardboard tubes.
Have a great weekend,
Mrs Kroon and the Year 4 team.
