A great end to 4K’s science unit of work

Monday 11th December | Comments are off for this post

4K have enjoyed a wonderful, if rather loud, Science Sound topic this half term. We have explored how sound travels through different materials, how to change the pitch of instruments and how sound grows fainter as you move away from the source.

The snowy pictures below show us measuring how far away we could hear Rudolf’s hooves (claves) clip clopping, sleigh bells jingling  and fairy dust being sprinkled (maracas).

We also explored different ways of changing the pitch on a guitar.

Looking forward to a slightly quieter topic next half term!
