Happy New Year to Year 4
Friday 10th January | 1 comment
Year 4 have made a great start to the New Year and have already been focused and working hard!
Here are some belated photos from our Musical instrument making day last term.
This term we have a lot of exciting topics to fit in.
We have begun work on the Vikings in History which the children are really enjoying.
In Science we spent some time classifying vertebrates into their different groups. The children were very knowledgeable and I believe Mr Beevers has some photos to post from this work.
Edit – He has
In Maths we are continuing to work on Multiplication and Division. Please do continue to practice times tables with your child. For homework we have asked you to time how long it takes for children to fill in all their times tables. The government test that Year 4 will do in May will only allow them 6 seconds per question!
In PE all of 4K are now going to Gym Magic on a Wednesday morning and we leave at 9am so please ensure your child is on time on a Wednesday. 4B will all be doing dance with a professional dance teacher.
As part of PSHE we are doing about looking after our bodies and minds and staying healthy. We have therefore asked children to complete a 2 day food and exercise diary for Learning Log homework. This week we have looked at how our food is produced and at making choices about the food we buy. We focused particularly on eggs and the difference between free range, barn eggs and caged hens.
Enjoys your weekend,
Mrs Kroon and the Year 4 team.
We hope you have a great weekend
