Hello all,

We have had another busy and hardworking week this week in Year 4.

In Literacy, we have continued our work on stories from other cultures. We have looked at how the Sun and Moon might have been created and even how the turtle got its shell. The children showed some great courage when getting up individually to perform their stories to each other.

In Maths, we have continued with column subtraction. The children have looked at solving and writing their own word problems and we have looked at how we might represent problems in different ways.

We’re all enjoying our Geography topic of North America. We had great fun looking at the different states and using the points of a compass to find our way around the different states.

In Science, the children are learning about how sounds are made and how sound travels. We will be having an exciting workshop from ‘Sam the Sound Man’ on Thursday 29th November. A letter will be coming home on Monday explaining more about this.

Children were given Maths homework and Learning Log this week.

Thank you to everybody for working hard with their Extreme Learning. We had an outstanding percentage of 96%!

Have a good weekend.

Miss Chambers

That looks like a very exciting week. We’ve enjoyed talking about the different states in the USA. I hope next week is just as exciting,
