Hello all,

We have had another busy week in 4C this week!

In Literacy, we have planned our own legends using the structure of the legends we’ve been reading. The plans sound brilliant and I can’t wait to read how animals got their features such as how a chameleon got its disguise!

In Maths, we finished our addition and subtraction topic. We had an end of topic assessment on Thursday and all children did well in this. They should be very proud of themselves! We will be moving onto length and perimeter next week.

We had a visit from Sam the Soundman on Thursday which the children thoroughly enjoyed (see super sound workshop in Year 4 blog). We then took this a step further today in class by investigating how sound travels in different materials. The children also used homemade “ear gongs” to learn about how sound travels.

Children are continuing to enjoy their swimming lessons and many earned a badge/badges this week. Well done!

Have a good weekend.

Miss Chambers
